Welcome to Naples Campground.
Well, so much for trying to get the Newsletter posted by Wednesday or Thursday! I don’t know what it is but somehow time just flies by. I can’t believe this is August 10 already. Three more weeks and we’re into Labor Day. It doesn’t seem possible!
On the bright side, we’ve had some really nice weather. Today may be a little cloudy, although this weekend should be spectacular. As long as the humidity stays down, I’m happy. Bring on the sun!
Last weekend, we had the Messalonskee Eagles state champs vying for a regional title. Unfortunately, they did not take regionals. But, what a great group of kids! To all the parents, great job!
The pool is open ‘till 10:30 – children must be accompanied by a parent.
FYI:
Newspapers: we have newspapers at the Office everyday. On weekends, we deliver a supply of papers to each Rec Hall. We also have a supply at the Store.
Toilet Tissue: we have partnered with Scott tissue paper company to supply you with an environmentally friendly toilet tissue. Let us know what you think. Please ask at the Office – they are free!
The Bumper Pool Table in the Arcade Room is temporarily out of order.
The Rec Hall is for your use. We have two HD TVs with cable. We also have a card table that always has a game that you can get in on. Check it out. If you need the hall for a larger group than you can accommodate at your site, please see Pam or Con.
The Fitness Room: Our fitness room is available to you anytime. We have quite a nice selection of different workout equipment. Please remember children must be supervised. We wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt.
State Park passes: We offer passes to the state park on a first-come first-served basis. You may reserve your pass at the Office. It’s good for a carload of people at no charge to you. This way you can still enjoy the beach and enjoy our activities as well.
Golfing: We have discount coupons for Naples Golf Course. Please ask at the Office.

Friday:
Patriots Football exhibition game playing Tampa Bay, 7:30 p.m. in the Rec Hall
Saturday:
10 a.m. Arts and Crafts in the Rec Hall, please be prompt so everyone starts at the same time.
12:30 p.m. Ice Cream Social at the Pool.
1 p.m. Treasure Hunt: see Jeanine at the Rec Hall to pick teams. Parents are welcome to help out.
 4:00 p.m. - Wet Hay Ride – weather permitting. This is not your ordinary hayride! Bring your squirt guns and water blasters. We have buckets of water on the trailer. We ask that the parents, or anyone for that matter, come out and be targets for the kids. What’s even more fun is when the parents take the hose off their camper and soak down the kids as we drive by! The kids love it. Isn’t that what it’s all about?

Pets: Pet Owners, please review our pet policy - in a nutshell - keep your dogs with you on a leash, quiet and picked up after. NO PETS ON THE PLAY GROUNDS. Little kids walk bare footed on the grass. Dog walks are at both ends of the entrances. Feel free to let them exercise there.
Quiet time is at 11 p.m. All kids must be back on their sites by 10:30 p.m. No noise or music after 11 p.m. No exceptions. Feel free to enjoy a campfire and friends past 11 but it MUST be quiet. We are quite liberal and want you to have fun - but not at the expense of someone else. Thanks for your consideration.
